It did feel like the Disney touch was included in the museum. I loved how you are drawn through each chapter of the museum, and how they cleverly present some stunning views (like entering the Disneyland area!). It is a well-written book brought to life.
And of course it ends in a shop! I would expect nothing less! :) |

I never met Walt & Lillian Disney but my family all knew them. The music box in the Disney apartment above the firehouse came from my cousins. Those same cousins also sold five carousel horses to Walt. They still ride the King Arthur Carrousel to this day. So, in a way, I have a more personal connection to Walt than most. (But not nearly as much as you do)
What is it about this man that we all love? It avoides describing with just one paragrah, let alone even one book.I guess all I can do is quote Disney Legend Peter Elenshaw: "Walt Disney, Genius!" |

Glad to read you feel the same way I do about 2 hours simply not being enough time. If you're planning a visit, get tickets for an early window, no later than noon. You can always leave before the museum closes at 6 p.m.; you won't want to rush through any of the galleries because you purchased a ticket for a 3 or 4 p.m. entry. |

One thing I'd like to know about Walt Disney is---where did he find the confidence to risk so much in doing Snow White and Disneyland when others told him they would fail?
How was he able to look into the future, near and far, and see that they would be successful even tho nothing like them had been done before? |

Doug and I can't wait to see the museum in November and you have done a superb job of detailing the feelings and emotions that it evokes, as well as describing the detail.
The special event sounded perfect too. Thanks for sharing a little bit more magic with us.
