2	hightp Wed 10/14/2009 6:56a	It’s an ambitious project, but I think Disney would get just as many people in the stores if they went back to their original formula, and sold a more rounded selection of merchandise. There are only so many children’s tee shirts, stuffed Mickey’s and beach towels people are willing to buy. The new interactive concept will bring people in, in the short run, but you need a variety of goods to keep them coming back. Oh, and bring back the Disney dollars.

The problem is that Disney doesn't produce the products that it sells, so unless these new Disney stores are going to have exclusive merchandise I don't see how they'll be as straightforward to merchandise as the Apple Stores. Truth be told most of what Disney sells is junk.
4	Sport Goofy Fri 10/16/2009 11:55a	Any store that relies on mall traffic is going to continue to struggle in the years ahead. If you are not co-located with at Big Box discounter like Wal-Mart or Target, your share of the market is not growing.
