I can't believe no one is talking about the "Opening 5 Minute" clip that is online now from The Princess and the Frog! I just kept watching it over and over again and it left me wanting more.

I love the pencil test footage that's in there. I always feel there is much lost in the animation between the breezy, sketchiness of the pencil footage, and the inked in stuff.

Anyone else feel that way?

I love pencil tests and drawings! Can't get enough of 'em.

In fact, I prefer a good drawing to a cel.

I can see what you mean, but I also enjoy all the beautiful colors that are always in the movie's final product. They make the movie come to life in my opinion.

I have to admit, when I forst started to hear about this film, I was a little less than thrilled. I don't really know why, it just didn't really excite me. But, now, after seeing the trailer...yes, I'm hooked! I totally love the pencil sketches! Very excited for this one!

Thanks, brother! :)

I always enjoy the rough looking Xerox animation that was used in 101 Dalmatians, The Sword in the Stone, and The Jungle Book. In certain sequences you can see a lot of the rough pencil lines that the animators drew originally.

KittyPrincess1206 -- How did you have any doubt with a classic animated Disney film? Just kidding! :) I know what you mean, I was already fully on board at the mere mention of this film, but after watching all the trailers and clips my excitement has just reached a completely different level. It is going to be nothing less than amazing I am sure. I am probably partial because I own every Disney animated film to date too! Ha Ha.
