Topic: Gift card instead of free bday entrance

1	drgnflysam Sat 10/17/2009 5:13p	I'm sure this has been covered - so, sorry for bringing it up again. We have multiday passes...our daughter's bday will happen during our trip so, she'll be able to get the gift card. My question is...does anyone know what the limitations are on the card? Meaning are there only certain stores it can be used at? I can't seem to find info on the DL website - or I'm not looking in the right place. Thanks ever so =)

The Birthday Fun Card may also be used for other select purchases including Disney's PhotoPass® on–site services and tour experiences. The Birthday Fun Card may not be used towards the payment of Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® Resort Hotel room night folio charges, or a Disney Cruise Line® reservation aboard Disney Cruise Line®, or towards the purchase of any food and beverage items, alcohol, cigarettes, spa services and products, or personal services such as face painting, caricature drawings, hair braiding, and hair wrapping. 2. The Birthday Fun Card is also not accepted at Walt Disney World® Resort Operating Participant locations, including but not limited to, China, Japan, and Morocco pavilions at World Showcase in Epcot®, Arribas Brothers, Basin, Basin White, Cirque du Soleil, Curl by Sammy Duval, Ghiradelli, House of Blues, Hoypoloi, LEGO Imagination Center, Magic Masters, Magnetron, Niki Bryan Spas, Orlando Harley Davidson Store, Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe, Richard Petty Driving Experience, Rubio Balloon Arts, SD Watersports, Sosa Cigar, Starabillias, Sunglass Icon, Surrey Bike Rental, Virgin Megastore, Wyland Galleries and any other locations or kiosks that are not owned and operated by the owners of the Walt Disney World® Resort. 3. The Birthday Fun Card is also not accepted at Disneyland® Resort Operating Participant locations or any other locations or kiosks that are not owned and operated by the owners of the Disneyland® Resort, including but not limited to, Midway Games, Names Unraveled, Jewel of Orleans, Silhouette Studio, Portrait Artists, Parasol Cart, Heraldry Shop, Crystal Shops (Crystal Arts & Crystal d'Orleans), Paradise Pier Face Painting, Airbrush Tattoos, Rubio Portrait Artist or at Downtown Disney® District locations except World of Disney®Store, Marceline's Confectionery, Disney Vault 28 and Disney's Pin Traders. The Birthday Fun Card is also not accepted at Disneyland®Resort outdoor vending carts. 4. No portion of the Birthday Fun Card balances will be redeemed for cash. << So basically no Food and no "outside vendors". Good for merchandise, Ticket Media, Guided Tours and PhotoPass (in the park, not online). Also, no expiration date, so you can save it and use it in the future, such as for a ticket or apply it towards an Annual Pass.

4	retlawfan Sat 10/17/2009 10:50p	Question for drgnflysam: Do you have APs. or a multi day ticket? I think the gift card is only issued if the birthday person has an AP that is not blocked out that day

10	kmsandrbs Thu 10/29/2009 9:57p	It says it cannot be resold ... but can it be transferred? I'd like my wife to be able to use mine to upgrade her annual pass. Or can I go with her and use it on her behalf?
