everyone keeps talking about they will be filling the lagoon soon. Does that mean they will start a soft openings of world of color.....thanksgiving??

Not even close, they have a ton of work to do even after filling the lagoon...

They still have to run all sorts of tests (like how high they can shoot the water without soaking the people in the audience) before they can even start programming the show. They haave a pretty good idea what the programming will be, but there's bound to be a technical problem or two with the 1200 jets and fancy lights.

Right now, I believe they are trying to get the show open in March or April.

Looks like late April, 2010 will be the opening of WOC, of course subject to change. As mentioned above, there is a LOT of Test and Adjust that needs to be done, and if they need to fix something major, it will be a lot harder to do, as more than likely they will need to use scuba divers.

I heard it's being designed so it won't need scuba divers. I guess if the lifting mechanism breaks, though...

If it anything like the way that they filled the subs, they will fill it a little way and then wait and test the levels to insure that there are no leaks.

After a point they will test the pumps to empty the lagoon.

They will then fill it up some more and do more testing.

Don't expect it to fill quickly.
