I was reading on WDW's website that the Halloween party for this year ends on Nov 1st, but the Christmas party starts on Nov 10th.

So, technically, if the two events next year happen around the same time frame, is it possible to see the park decorated for both Halloween and Christmas if you stay within those two weeks? Do most of the parks close rides, etc, to change the decorations and/or theming during this transition?

I would really be happy to see both Halloween and Christmas decorations during one stay.

Does anyone know how the transition works?

Thanks in advance!

It is possible (and that is actually a bigger gap between the two parties than in years past..)

They do get most of the decorations up but the first few parties are more sparsely decorated than the later ones (last year the huge tree didn't go up till a few days before Thanksgiving missing a few parties)All in all I would say it takes about 2-3 weeks for property to be completely decorated... Usually Epcot,DAK and Studios don't start their Christmas until much closer to Thanksgiving if not on that day..

We sadly are not DLR and none of the attractions get a makeover so the only closures would be regular rehab...

Wow, em, really? IaSW doesn't get a Christmas makeover? I thought it did... am I dreaming, or does just DL do that, maybe?

It's only DL, at leat when I was there in 06 for Christmas they did not have the makeover. So if they did it before it hasn't been done sense then.

Oart of the DL IASW make-over is the exterior, which is FAR more impressive than the IASW exterior at WDW. So I'm not surprised they don't do a Christmas version.

Cool, give my love to all the LPers you see there! Wish I could make it, but I'll be in training that week. :/
