1	LuLu Fri 10/23/2009 7:58a	It’s time for Golden Doobie Award NOMINEES!!! On December 6th, we will be holding the 10th Annual Golden Doobie Award Ceremony at Disneyland at LP’s Big Meet! (see LP Meets section to attend!) What?!? You don’t know what a Golden Doobie is? Well, it’s a very prestigious award bestowed upon certain special LPers. The recipients’ names and awards will be announced at the LP Meet, and each will get a special, personalized award button. I need YOUR help in determining who will receive these awesome awards. I’m asking for nominations from any and all LPers. The awards will be chosen by a secret panel of judges. The selection is somewhat random, but the suggestions below will improve your nominee’s chance of being selected.

Please don’t nominate, vote, or campaign on the boards. Thanks! RULES: #1 NO voting or campaigning. Selection will be made by judges. #2 Do not post nominations on the boards. #3 All entries must be received by midnight, November 6th, 2009, via e-mail to lp.golden.doobies (at) gmail.com #4 Please put the award recipient’s screen name in the subject of your email. SUGGESTIONS: #1 Invent clever, witty, original and positive awards. #2 Nominate LPers who are active in the Disneyland and/or General Discussion sections. #3 Include 2 - 3 sentences on why your nominee deserves an award. #4 Nominate for things other LPers are aware of, not for things that happen off the boards, or in one or two topics.
3	LuLu Fri 10/23/2009 8:02a	FAQ: Q: What are the award names? A: I'll post previous awards, however there aren't set award names year to year. YOU can make up any award name that fits your intended award recipient! Q: What if I can’t think of a good award name? A: IF you can’t come up with a clever award name, send me your nominee’s name anyway and I can consult my judges for award names. But the more info you can give as to why this LPer deserves an award, the better. Q: Are people who’ve won in the past ineligible? A: Nope. I’m opening it up this year to all current posters. New and original awards will probably be more likely to win though, so try to think of something that hasn’t been done before! Q: So-and-so didn’t win last year, why not? A: Often, after the awards I get complaints about folks who didn’t win, but they may never have been nominated! If you think someone deserves an award, please send in a nomination before November 6th! Q: Can I nominate myself? A: Sure, if you think you deserve an award! Just follow the same rules and suggestions as above. Q: Does the winner need to be present to accept his/her award? A: Nope! We do all we can to get the award button to its recipient. Some winners are unwilling to provide a mailing address... but they still have the honor of being a winner!
