Topic: Should we have Golden Doobies this year?

Thats the whole reason for being on LP. Having others who have a love for Disney. That is our common bond. Getting a Doobie is just something fun, not to be taken so seriously. Look at Susan Lucci. Look how long it took her to get an Emmy. LOL {{AGG}} It's all good! Hang in there.
66	Lady Starlight Mon 11/9/2009 12:52p	Agg, I really wasn't trying to sound mean and I'm sorry if it came across that way (it's hard to convey feelings through a screen sometimes).. I just mean that you should hang in there and just enjoy the friendships. That's what really counts.
67	a goofy guy Mon 11/9/2009 1:04p	Thank you, Lady Starlight! After I posted that I told JazzCat, "I guess that's a sore subject for me." She agreed. I guess I figured to "be somebody" in LP one needed to be popular enough to win a Golden Doobie. I've been to several meets at and around DL and have NEVER recieved a Golden Doobie, whereas, several people who have NEVER been to DL or a major meet has recieved a Golden Doobie. Ok, I'm NOT popular! I'm not worthy of a Golden Doobie...FINE! I can host mini-meets (and I have), I can be a "gopher" (and I have), but I AM SOMEBODY, even without a Golden Doobie! People like winners, well, you're going to have to like me as a loser! Pass me over again, is it "fun" as Lady Starlight said, sure (for the winners-but not for me)! A sore subject with me? YES!!!!!! How would you feel to know that EVERYONE on the Smed Thread was nominated last year and EVERYONE from the Smed Thread won a Golden Doobie EXCEPT for ME! Please don't give me a Golden Doobie because of this post, It seems to be a bit manipulative and I don't want one that way! There, I've vented once again about the ONLY negative I see on LP, now let's have fun, go to meets and nominate people for Golden Doobies, I just may have the record for the longest time being an LP member WITHOUT a Golden Doobie! I'll be at the meet next month and I'll have fun with LPers and others! For those who will be there I look forward to it! C.J. (Not such "a goofy guy" in this subject)
