| hvmom Sat 10/31/2009 4:00p | I am trying to decide whether or not to pay the extra money for the park hopping feature. Our family (3 adults, 2 boys ages 13 & 10) will be on site for only 4 days at the end of January. We are coming from the west coast, so I don't know the feasibilty of getting up early for the morning EMH. My plan is to do one park per day. The latest anything is open (not counting evening EMH) is 9:00 pm. Is it worth the extra $$ to be able to park hop? Is it even a practical idea? We are staying at the All Star Music and will not have a car. Thanks for any info! |

But for a short trip with limited park hours, it's better to not waste time moving from park to park. Unlike Disneyland where you can walk to DCA, at WDW parks are miles apart. It can take 30 minutes or more to park hop. |

I can't comment on DHS since I haven't been there since before it got cannibalized. But for someone like me who doesn't get to WDW often, I'm betting I could spend a full day there too. If the OP has two young teen boys, I'd be willing to bet they'd want to ride the ToT and the RnRC a few times each, maybe more. |

I think that you should not get park hoppers because 1)that is a slower time of year crowd-wise so you don't need to avoid them as much; 2)the parks are far apart and it takes time to travel between them, and you said they won't even be open past nine; 3)I think if you have not been frequently, you can enjoy a whole day in each park, and if you do finish early, then you can be all the more energetic the next day; and 4)I don't think the price is worth it for doing it once. |
