>>Editor's Note 11/1: Here we go again... Remember the Captain EO rumor we told you about months ago? After being pulled at the very last minute during the D23 Expo, the jittery lawyers and Iger himself have been put more at ease, and the announcement of EO's return to Disneyland in January should be coming any day now. Despite a less than thrilling $32M open for the "This Is It" rehearsal film, Team Disney Anaheim is looking at the merch and attendance numbers that EO could drive before World of Color opens in late April. - Al Lutz<<
Looks like the scheduled dates will be early January through mid April, ending the same time Spring Break season ends (April 18th).
Perfect for Disney to have something to market between Christmas Time and the official premiere of World of Color for the local market. |

He is most definitely guilty of irresponsibility in his dealings with kids. But there isn't a shred of proof that he ever did anything improper. The fact that the media and his fans in general have been able to discuss his career since his death without everything being overshadowed by his legal troubles just shows what he has really meant to people.
I feel kinda strongly about this, as I just saw the movie today and really enjoyed it. Regardless of what he was accused of (and personally I don't think he did anything other than share a bed with kids), he was an incredible musical talent, he brought us a lot of amazing music and showmanship, and I think we have all missed out on what would have been a totally unique and amazing concert event.

Most every forum I've visited, when the topic of MJ comes up, the discussion is loaded with talk about his "indiscretions" and the millions of dollars paid out to the young boys and families that accused him. And yes, there is significant derision aimed at Sony right now, and people are talking with the wallets.
Disney severed their relationship with MJ for a reason, and they should leave it like that. |

Regardless, I doubt very few people are staying away because MJ may have been a pedophile. I also don't think there is nearly the derision aimed at Sony that you claim. There a big difference between people not being interested because they are not fans of MJ or his music and people not being interested because they think he was a criminal. |

I am glad they're bringing it back. I think many people (the younger generations) are just now beginning to understand what a truly great and talented entertainer he was. His legacy is reaching new audiences, why deny that experience to anyone? We can all draw our own conclusions on his personal life, but you can not condemn the man if you have not walked in his shoes. |

Okay. So, by that logic, it would be ignorant and unfair of me to say that it was wrong of Norman Bates to murder that woman in the shower. 'Cause, see, I never had a really bad childhood experience. So who am *I* to judge what's right and wrong for someone who had a troubled past, huh?
Ya know what? I've never done crack, either. But that doesn't keep me from being totally judgemental about people who've murdered other people while under the influence of crack.
I do not have to have "walked in his shoes" to recognize that many of the things he did were just plain wrong. Period. |
