| officerminnie Tue 11/3/2009 9:39p | The first time we took my DSD to DL, she was already 10 years old, way past the princess-worship days. We've been several times with the DS's, who were always into 100% boy things. But now I am taking my 5 year old DGD for her very first visit to DL and I don't really know how to "do" DL with a little girl. She is all about the princesses and fairies. We are gong the first week of December. I am looking for suggestions of what not to miss with a little princess. Should we do Ariel's grotto? The Princess Fantasy Faire? What other ideas? Help please!!! And TIA.

We did the dress and the whole 9 yards. Buy a autograph book and bring a pen for sure.
Here are my hints for the FF that I have posted before. Be early for the line for the PFF because it moves very slowly.
Make sure that you have a potty break beforehand and bring water, snacks with you for the line. We waited just about 2 hours this summer for our 10 minute Princess time.
Bring a big plastic bag (fits in a purse) for your little princess to sit on. There are wooden steps and such as you go through the line that they can sit on but they are pretty dirty. My little princess got pretty tired waiting in line so her being able to sit every now and then was a good thing.
Send ALL men away. They will not understand the whole Princess wait thing and will be much happier doing something else! |

It was my son's 10 birthday. They sang Happy birthday and had balloons at the table. Jasmine and Belle were there. Jasmine paid lots of attention to the kids. Goofy came out and let all the kids bang pots and pans. The food was good too. |

I usually stock up throughout the year on little princess and fairy themed trinkets and bring them with me on the trip. It doesn't have to be anything grand, she is so thrilled that Tinkerbell visited and remembered her! |

| Dalia3001 Thu 11/5/2009 8:59a | My four year old niece LOVED the Fantasy Fair and Pixie Hollow. The long lines meant that I was happy her mother and grandmother wanted to take her there (at least once a day), but I thought the photos were adorable.
Our meal at Ariel's Grotto (we did the first lunch seating, inside because of all the construction and I believe you get more princess time inside) was a highlight of the trip for all of us, men and adults included. The food was good, not cheap, but tasty and lots of it. There were cocktails and beer/wine available, although at the first lunch seating none of us indulged. I think the idea that we could have added to the experience somehow, ha ha.
The princesses were so sweet with my niece. I didn't really get the "meet and greet" thing until I saw it in action with a little girl. Watching her go from shy and in awe of the princesses to confidently and joyfully knowing the drill about blowing them kisses, giving them the autograph books, posing for photos and then giving them a big hug was fantastic!
I think it added to our experience that she wore a sticker that looked like a cast member badge with her name on it. They all called her "Princess Olivia," which she loved, and some remembered her from day to day.
