The first few weeks in December are usually pretty empty. If you can go during the week, that would be ideal, but those weekends aren't as bad as some of the others (though, it's all relative). If you can wait until after the Thanksgiving crowds leave, there are usually a couple quiet weeks before the Christmas crowds start showing up.

i ask because a co-worker asked me today, he wants to take his 2 year old daughter, but doesn't want to go when it's super crowded...and altough i am a AP holder i didn't know how to answer his question, beucause i know it varies.

Also the CP weekend is supposed to be crowded which is December 5th and 6th. The following days December 7th and 8th are cast party days so although DL is not supposed to be crowded, it does close at 6:00 PM those two days.

I've heard that January 1 is usually pretty light, but I've never been there to confirm it. Given what the night before is like, it would make sense that a lot of people would want to sleep in and rest all day, after being shoulder to shoulder with people for 8 hours the day before.

January 1 is quiet in the morning. I wouldn't expect low crowds afternoon and evening tho.

If he can go on a Tues-Thurs early in December, that would be the best bet.

We've always gone in the 2nd week of December and the crowds are really light.
