| SleepingBeauty82 Fri 11/6/2009 9:44p | You can take the elevator downstairs from your room and then there are signs to the entrance to the park from the hotel. I believe it's somewhere near the pool and it lets you into the park near Grizzly River Run.
I don't think Paradise Pier is connected to DCA or the Grand but I've never been in there so I can't answer that for you. |

| Jenasweetemotion Fri 11/6/2009 11:08p | The Private entrance to California Adventure is over in the Grand Californian. However that entrance is for Resort guests so Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier and Grand Californian. |

| amazedncal2 Sat 11/7/2009 8:08a | When DCA first opened there was a special entrance for PPH guests but it's been closed for a few years now. Just thought I'd mention that, as there might be old information floating around the internet somewhere. If you stay at PPH you can walk across the street, enter the Grand and go through the special entrance as Jenasweetemotion posted.

| Princessjenn5795 Mon 11/9/2009 7:53p | The entrance is across from the pool, if you get to White Water Snacks you have gone to far. You can show your room key from any of the DLR hotels and they will let you in. |

| amazedncal2 Tue 11/10/2009 8:41a | I think it depends on the CM whether you need the room key or not. In June, August and Oct. we were asked for the key. I've never understood why they do this as I'm sure they like lots of people using their restaurants and bar.
We've been told that the room key is needed but they might only ask for it in the morning. There is a sign out saying the entrance is for hotel guests only and then there is also a sign on the wall that says something slightly different. I'd guess that a receipt from a hotel restaurant would work too. IF they are being persnickity about it.
There is one CM who is very through. We call him Maxwell Smart for no particular reason. If I see him at the table I practically start taking out my teeth fillings as I know he'll want to check them. I have seen him refuse guests entrance. I really wanted to say that the family was with us but it was too obvious and I wasn't in the mood for a battle.
Long winded way of saying you might need a keycard then again you might not :) |
