Just got home from Orlando this afternoon. Left in a storm returned in a storm & waited almost 2 hrs just to get our luggage. That being said a good time was had by all! :)

I went to TL for the first time since 1992 on Sat. Was there from 9 to about 4 & really enjoyed it. It was hot but there was a pretty good breeze & since I was there early I got a nice place under wooden shelter that sheilded the sun.

Walked around & saw everything but only went in the lazy river a few times. Actually had a really good sandwitch for lunch & those mini donuts are tooo good.

Had lots of great meals all out & about. Didn't stay on property this trip. Had a great time visiting our daughter. Two of our standout meals were @ Manny's Original Chop House & High Tide Harry's. Both had fabulous food & unbelievable prices.

Monday afternoon we went to tea @ the GF & as always it did not disappoint. We headed over to EPCOT after late tea & saw Captain EO.

I'll have to say I smiled from the moment it started till way past leaving the theater. Like him or not MJ had talent, but mostly it was the pure joy of reliving a moment in time when things seemed easier & our kids were young. The addition of the 4D effects are a nice touch as well.

After having an adult beverage @ the R&C & enjoying the new Hat Lady & an off duty CM singing a few songs we were off to MK.

We got there just in time to find a spot for the MSELP & Nightastic. I hadn't seen the parade since 2001 & enjoyed seeing it again. As for the fireworks they were fantastic. It was well worth the heat esp since there was a pretty nice breeze most of the time.

Of course I must add a sidebar. After the fireworks I was painfully reminded why I go in the off season. There was a wall of humanity that had only one thought~TO GET OUT! We were ushered thru backstage when we arrived & took advantage of it when we left.

We were in front of the castle so while everyone was trying to get to MS we waited by a trashcan for a while then headed toward TL instead. We circled around by the Noodle Station & slid out thru the backstage area. It took us less then 10 min to make it out of the park.

Since we decided to do valet parking @ the GF when we went to tea we just got on the boat to GF & Poly with a very short wait. But just watching the crowds heading to TTC made me thankful I wasn't one of them.

All in all it was a great time. In fairness we didn't spend much time in the parks but I really didn't see anything that would be considered bad show.

Sounds like you had a great trip, J.

I do wish it had been a Spirited visit.

Those restaurants you dined at ... are they relatively close to WDW?

Gotta plan my next trip (first week in Oct., right before Asia!)

~So, what number did ya call? ;-) ~

Sounds like fun, and you know, I think you did it right. I do think part of my trouble of the last trip is I was immersed in WDW for nearly 2 weeks and saw a lot of the bad. If I had flitted in and out like you, I suspect I would have had a better time (not that it should be like that mind - I can easily spend a week without leaving DLP or DL and getting grumpy).

TL is a great water park though. Glad the tea was good, and Epcot rarely disappoints.

Like you, I would rather hang out on the hub for a while than fight the masses. And the whole TTC push is another factor I do not like at WDW and prefer the other resorts. Yes, that lake is lovely when you arrive, but it is a logistical nightmare that Disney forgot (or will not pay) to run efficiently.

Thanks for sharing, sounds lovely overall.

Enjoyed your report. Where are Manny's and High Tide Harry's located?

THX all we did have fun.

Manny's is in Haines City & High Tide Harry's is on Semoran Blvd not to far from the airport. They both have web sites. Manny's has a couple of locations but I'ld go to the Haines City site.

BTW it's funny which posts get moved & which don't. I guess this obviously was a trip report but it was more about the condition of places/attractions. Oh well go figure.

<<I do wish it had been a Spirited visit.>>

Ditto!

<<~So, what number did ya call? ;-) ~>>

I officially have BOTH #'s in my address function so it won't happen again.

So when are you going so I can see if I can slip in a quick trip that is 'Spirited'!

^^I may head up for a quick two-day visit to see Potter in the next month.

But my next 'real' trip will be from 9/30 to 10/8 or 10/9.

>I went to TL for the first time since 1992 on Sat.<

I had to do a 2nd look on this one. You haven't been to Tomorrowland since 1992? But I figgered it out.

I've been hit by that wall of humanity around the central hub. My routine now is to just sit down wherever I am and wait for the crowd to diminish. Ain't nowhere I need to get there that badly!

Thanks for the report - glad you had fun!
