This happened about 200 yards from where I work. I had left work about 10 minutes before this happened. We are in an affluent area of Columbus, but we get large groups of kids on Friday and Saturday nights due to the movie theater in the complex. It was just a matter of time before this happened.

The sad thing is that this sort of thing is so common in the USA that it isn't shocking.

awww I hope the kid ends up being alright. I agree with you fkurucz. When I used to live in Yorktown Va (very nice area very little crime)but only 30 minutes away there was newport news (high crime, high death rates, lots of gangs) so its not that surprising to me.
Recently in Manassas (little crime, little violence) someone cut a mans throat only because the man threw a snowball at him.

So sad I hope that everything is going to be ok. It is scary that things like this have become more frequent.

I pray that boy recovers, but I know damage from head injuries can be permanent.

He died a couple of days ago. It turned out that the person who shot him was his brother.

Wow, that is so horrible. It is amazing how much does go on right near where we are.
