That was fun! Thanks for taking time to do that for LP.com, Dug.

It took longer than I thought in my mind to get from the entrance gates to Condor Flats. Also forgot that the monorail track is right there in Condor Flats.

DlandDug, heard a fun 20s sounding musical track playing. Is there a new mix of tunes playing in a loop?

Also, is it safe to say that the old 'California' themed music is gone? Forever?

I would guess that the "jazz age" tunes we heard are likely the new bgm for Buena Vista Street.

And it is safe to assume that the California mix is gone forever. No more "I Love LA."

A couple of weeks ago I was listening to Dionne Warwick sing "Do you know the way to San Jose?", and I thought this is the last time I will hear this at DCA.

It was kind of sad, and yet it's really for the best.

What can't happen, however, is for all of us to forget how truly bizarre the DCA entrance experience was from 2001 to 2010. Flourishes of great artistry and whimsy with the tiles or the Streamliner train, but anchored to cheaply suburban Outlet Mall architecture and finishes and surfaces. And all set to a 20th century pop music soundtrack!

Whatever happens, we must never forget!

Sadly, your description is very accurate. Sunshine Plaza was easily the weakest part of DCA and probably the most forgettable entrance of any Disney theme park.

This new entrance looks pretty nice, especially considering that it's through an area that was never intended for guests. They did a good job of making it look presentable, while also letting guests know that it's a temporary solution, and what coming up.

I also think it's funny that they have real pennants on top of the faux tailfins on the construction walls, yet the ones at the main entrance have metal ones that always stick out. Yes, I'm still bitter that they put up the silly looking ones on the main entrance. : |

"Whatever happens, we must never forget!"

Yes, that would be a tragedy dwarfing any in human history or...something.

NEVER FORGET!

...Do you know the way to San Jose, I've been away so long, I may go wrong and lose my way...

Take the coastal road, Dionne. Takes longer, but awfully pretty.

Could someone with technical skills please tell me how I change my LP name to "Dionne"?
