According to tweets Disney has updated their Disney look guidelines to allow Cast Members to have beards.

Mon 1/23/2012 1:20p | Amusing story. I came back from vacation with a nice beard once. When asked to shave before going onstage, I said not until someone shaves Lincoln. A few days later, a few of the guys circulated a "Would you shave Lincoln" petition (jokingly of course). I can't remember the exact terminology, but it was hilarious, floridly highlighting all the great men in history who sported beards, including Jesus. |

Mon 1/23/2012 4:53p | It's just like anything else with a CM's grooming and dress - as long as a beard is kept well trimmed, and as long as the guy is really capable of growing a good looking beard, why not. Course, someone has to decide if the 19 year old with the scraggly peach fuzz doesn't qualify.

Mon 1/23/2012 5:11p | ORWEN: I have a good friend named Betty Beardsly who's been trying to get hired as a cast member for years and they wouldn't hire her because of her facial hair. She never wanted to shave because she's got a razor blade phobia. She's going to be so excited when I tell her about how she finally has a chance to get a job with Disney!
