| Yookeroo Thu 2/9/2012 5:40p | Any idea of what kind of crowds to expect?
On the one hand, it's a special DL event that is open to all the SoCal APers. But the whole point is to be able to stay in the park all night which would eliminate most families with school age kids or anyone who has to work the next day. And how many people will truly be able to hang out until 3AM? 4AM?
But it's never wise to underestimate the fanaticism of DL nuts. Are there enough of them (maybe I should use "us" ;-) to make the park crowded all night?
I suppose I'll find out. |

I also am going to guess, because only DL will be open past a certain point, that they're going to have to close admission sometime in the late night just for the security aspect, aside from earlier closure for capacity. YMMV. Anyone who has booked a trip for that time period, without knowing the park will be open 24 hours, may be in for the visit of a lifetime, and then some... |

| FerretAfros Thu 2/9/2012 9:14p | I suspect it will be busier than your average February Wednesday, but maybe not quite to the level of a February weekend. It's a special event, yes. But it's also a weekday (a really inconvenient one at that) in the middle of the off-season. The gimmick will work for some, but I suspect most will just continue on their regularly scheduled lives. It would be fun to go and see how many people actually show up, but I suspect it will be mostly people who just happened to have a vacation booked that week. |

You will be suprised. It is amazing how many people dont seem to work LOL. Hopefully the crowds will turn out lighter than expected.

Don't get me wrong, I'm going. I took two days off of work to do so, too. But I don't recall very many commercials advertising this after the New Year's announcement.
Having the ET rate at Hojo's was another deciding factor for me. Although I'm local, I really don't feel like I'd want to drive home after being up so long!
I think it's going to be a fun time. Hopefully I'll last for both of my HM meets. Sure wouldn't want folks meeting at 1am and not be there LOL |

Or they work non-standard hours and days. |

Where have you heard the SQUEEEEing?
Do they have anything special planned for that day/night? If not, why would anyone go other than the novelty of staying in the park all night?
I'd imagine if the park was to hit capacity, it would have to be when the after most of the all-nighters had arrived and before your average guest hd left. 8:00-10:00?
I have my doubts that the typical Feb. crowd + the all-nighter = hitting capacity. But who knows. |

| ksargen Fri 2/17/2012 12:59p | Yookeroo - Mousewait. The amount of freak out on there about this was... astounding. Then again, it seems populated by a large number of the 18-24 crowd with a fair amount of free time. 8)
999HAUNTS - I agree, aside from the ongoing contest, there's ZERO advertising I've seen about this since the big announcement, which I find a bit odd. Oh well. Because we live too far away, and it is smack in the middle of the week, I can't go, so I'm not overly concerned. ;) Have a great time!
OH! For those who are going, call Disney Dining, and make reservations or get info on your fav place to eat. They're keeping a LOT of good places open LATE that night. I can't remember all of what was shared previously, but Café Orleans and BB will be open FAR later than normal, as will some other spots. |

I talked to a couple of annual passholders at work today and they knew nothing about it.
Being crowded enough to hit capacity wouldn't be too surprising. But then nor would an almost empty park.
Will they be letting people in the gates all night? Or will they close at some point? |
