Hi there!! I have been a member of LP for many years and a AP Holder for 10. I have watched the prices increase again and again. My question is Is it Worth it? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the parks, but lets face it-the increases for a family of 6 are killing me! My deluxe passes are well over $1000 now and that's not parking or hotel stays. Which have also increased dramatically. I wonder if its just worth it me now??

I think it is.

Maybe take a break for a year. I agree the prices are crazy especially for a family. I can't afford passes for my family and it stinks. BUT the deal they have this time of year for 3 days at $199 is do-able. šoš

I'm taking a bit of a break. My APs expired almost a year ago and I'm not in a rush to replace them. I may get a Premier AP when I go to WDW this Fall, but otherwise I don't know when if ever I would get another DL AP.
BUT I don't live close enough for last minute day trips to make sense.

We used to visit every year, but the sharp price increases of the past few years have made it difficult to pull the trigger, especially now that we have college tuition to pay.

I guess it depends on how much you are wanting to go? I have a premier pass and i had 3 DL trips and one WDW which was worth every penny. If money is a bit tight you should go on one longer trip. I myself might take a break this year (gasp) it might be tough with Carsland opening but, i want to go to Hawaii.

No one can tell you if it is worth it to you or not. It is worth it to me.

With one kid now away at college, taking the family got 25% cheaper. So that helps, but boy, one-day passes are not cheap. We're not that Disney-crazy to go more than once a year or so, maybe twice, so AP's don't make sense for us.

I made 4 trips last year for a total of about 25 days and yes, it was very worth it for me. With the food discounts and merchandise discounts it paid for itself, especially parking.

But, then again, I only buy one pass for me only. I can understand a family of six would be very expensive.

You don't have to have six! It's expensive. But we wouldn't miss it, at least once a year. So yes, it's worth it.
