We've stayed at Disneyland several times and know what we want in a hotel. What is your fave hotel? My criteria is: spacious room for family of five, free shuttle with no other hotel stops, (I don't want to walk across the street of maingate), great continental breakfast (not pastries and apples), friendly service, decent pool. I'm willing to pay extra but not the ridiculous price of the Disney hotels.

Our favorite good neighbor hotel is the Candy Cane Inn. They have a shuttle but the walk is not too bad. Comfortable beds and a decent breakfast. Most of their staff has been there for an average of 8 to 10 years.

Candy Cane is a good choice. They have a dedicated (no other stops) shuttle, and I'm not sure any of the other Harbor places do. And it's close enough to walk if the shuttle doesn't time out well for you. Their continental breakfast is better than most, and they're very friendly. Didn't try the pool, so can't speak to that.

I haven't stayed there since the 90s, but as I recall the pool area is quite nice.

My favorite hotel is whatever is cheapest and within walking distance.

The Anabella Inn & Suites is really nice also. Its around the corner from Candy Cane inn. I don't think it has continental breakfast though.

I would recommend the park vue inn but it is across the street. Good breakfasts as well as some food in the afternoon. Nice rooms with different configurations like bunk beds. Decent pool and hot tub.

It is too bad you don't want to cross the street. The Park Vue is great.

I think I'll try the Candy Cane Inn since they have no other hotel stops with their shuttle.
