Tom Hanks will be filming scenes for the movie "Saving Mr. Banks" at Disneyland November 6 & 7. Are you planning on going to catch of glimpse of Mr. Hanks play Walt Disney?

I was wondering why Tom Hanks has been sporting that ridiculous mustache. Now it makes sense.

The article linked doesn't say for sure that Hanks will be there.

"Disney officials declined to confirm which actors would come to Disneyland, and they warned that visitors shouldn't expect to see any stars on set, which will be obstructed. Because the movie is set in 1961, crews can't risk accidentally filming regular guests in the background"

The likelyhood of Hanks being there, however, is pretty good though, I would assume.

I hope the scenes shot in Disneyland end up looking like Disneyland from 1964.

For some reason, it seems like they'd shoot scenes on Main Street USA.

Imagine all the foamers who will tell us various details like railings, shop names, and paint colors aren't exactly correct. :)

I just saw a photo of Tom Hanks as Walt. WHO DO THEY THINK THEY'RE KIDDING HERE?!! Much as I love Hanks as an actor, there is only one person in the world who can convincingly portray Walt Disney, and he's been dead for 46 years.

And if they've got Hanks playing Walt, who do they have playing the Sherman Brothers? Julie Andrews? Dick van Dyke? All the brilliant people involved with "Mary Poppins?" I think the Disney folk have finally flipped their lids.

<<And if they've got Hanks playing Walt, who do they have playing the Sherman Brothers? Julie Andrews? Dick van Dyke? >>

Julie Andrews is an English actress called Victoria Summers.

A guy called Kristopher Kyer is Dick van Dyke.

Robert Sherman is B.J. Novak and Richard is Jason Schwartzman.

Don DaGradi is an interesting casting - Bradley Whitford.

All times are Pacific Time (US)
