I was just reading on Yahoo about 10 beloved and banned products... I swear the picture of the bunk beds is from the interior room of the Grand Californian Hotel.
Did they remove the bunk beds from the rooms???

That's the Grand, all right.

Here's the source of the photo:

Note that the article describes poorly assembled or dangerous bunk beds. The ones that are in the Grand are neither.

I can't stand Yahoo News. It's like 8th graders putting out a class newsletter.

And this one mentions an obscure Fondue Set recall from 2002, a decade ago, as some sort of news item.

Sometimes the Internetz are just pointless.

That's one of the best descriptions of it I've ever seen. Between the poorly written articles, and the questionable-at-best subjects, it really is a poop-show over there. My brother says they do a pretty good job with sports, but I've never checked any of those articles out, having been scared away by the terrible journalism on everything else.

Good to know that the GCH beds aren't dangerous (not that I was particularly concerned about it)

I imagine that the beds at GCH are even more reinforced than someone's bunkbed at home. They would have to be. I wonder if they might even be bolted to the wall in some way to prevent them coming down. I'm sure they're very sturdy.

^^^ I would think they'd have to be, in case of an earthquake.
