Is it me, or are DL rides getting bumpier for the worse?

Pirates - what happened? The loading section is extremely bumpy now. Don't think it was like that before. It's to a point where it can be unsafe for folks with back and neck issues.

Splash - the final lift - don't remember having such a jolt when bumping into the log in front.

BTMR - What's wrong with the trains? It feels like the wheels have a flat spot on them and the training is clunking all thru the ride. Makes for an uncomfortable (and scary) ride for fear the wheels will fall apart. Could be the track itself, but it's not a good feeling.

New Matterhorn - it was always bumpy and jerky, so no complaints here.

Space Mt - no complaints. Nice and smooth.

To me, the only ride that feels REALLY bumpy is the Matterhorn. Sadly, after the last update they did I really don't enjoy it any longer. It's just way too hard on my back.

I don't know. Seems to me that the Matterhorn was improved after its major refurb. At least if I get bumped around, I'll be sitting up straight.

Isn't BTMR going to have a major refurb of its own soon?

When are the idiots that run Disneyland going to understand that the updated Matterhorn bobsled seats are too hard on the rider's backside?

All they need to do is put a couple of snaps in the back where they can affix a cushion and they will probably see ridership increase by a huge amount.

Otherwise, they will find that the ride is ridden only in the wintertime when guests are wearing heavy coats that help to pad their back so they can tolerate the ride.

Really is a shame that they spend so much time and money refurbishing the Matterhorn only to to completely ignore the comfort (and one might even say safety) of the riders in the new sleds.

Just goes to show how people that are making the decisions just don't go out there themselves and try the rides - probably too busy counting their bonuses at some non-Disney resort.

Can't imagine that a detail guy like Walt Disney would have ever approved of the current seats on the bobsleds ........

At least you're not bending forward while you're being bounced around anymore. But yes, padded seats on the Matterhorn would be a quick and good change.

And certain other attractions like Indiana Jones, Star Tours and Autopia would be a helluva less bumpy with shoulder harnesses. What do we have to do to get through to these people? These are rides I hardly go on, since I want to avoid a possible backache (and inhalation of the gas fumes). I think the Matterhorn is actually smoother than these three!

Ok, I'm not the only one...
Peter Pan, used to feel like flying, right? Not any more, throws you forward when it dips down, slams against cement sides several times at ride end. POTC, bumpy several times, Indiana Jones, finally gave up seeing many kids moving their necks complaining realized it wasn't just me. TSM, did not whip around so much entering, now, whip last.. Many of the attractions, jerkier and rougher, louder...

the new designers, louder and more jolting rather than finesse...

Louder is my other peeve ;-)
deafen the crowd so they know they had an experience
what a concept.

Autopia, if it was not jersey and bumpy would have no purpose at all. I drive an Element, I get more thrills on the 91 (also bumpy and if you have never ridden in one, Elements are not famous for the smoothness of the ride)
