Thanks

They don't expire, though they might be worth more to some collector (depending on how old they are and which ones) than they are worth at face value.

Why were they discontinued? Was someone counterfeiting them?

I didn't know that they had been formally discontinued, but I suspect that they've faded away much like traditional gift certificates. They have gift cards available next to seemingly every cash register in the resort, so I assume that's their replacement.

You can still buy Disney Dollars at guest relations (is that what the place in City Hall is called?) I bought some at WDW this year but haven't gone at DL yet (always a big line). They change them every so often and they are different between the 2 parks.

Can you still get them at the Disney Store?

^^ I believe they have been discontinued at all Disney Stores now - they only offer the gift cards.

My understanding is that Disney Dollars are only available at the parks (or by mail order) and that they are not printing any new designs. They try to push everyone on to the gift cards.

I've some left from our last visit, but I think I will keep them as a souvenir.

I wish DLP would introduce the Disney Euro.

Not alliterative. Now if they'd built Euro Disney in Germany and they still had the Deutschmark...
