This topic is for Discussion of Latest: Disney World Announces Next Limited Time Magic Event - Canada Pavilion Meet and Greet
Each Friday at Noon Disney announces a new Limited Time Magic Event via the Disney Parks Blog. The latest event has just been announced....
The forecast at Epcot this week is sunny with a chance of flurries. For one week only, January 14-20, there will be a magical Winter Wonderland location with falling snow where you and your family can meet and take photos with some of your favorite Disney characters. It’s an all new character greeting location in the Canada Pavilion.
Times for the Winter Wonderland location at Epcot are 10:30 a.m. – 2:10 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

I do love the randomly sporadic show times though.
What happens in the Canadian culture from 2:10 to 3:05 each day that they can't greet visitors? Mexicans have their siesta around that time, but what are Canadians doing then? Checking hockey scores? Re-aligning their snowmobile tracks?

It means that Donald has to only work one shift. Equity won't allow him to do any more. :-)))

I still don't :
A) get the whole thing
B) know how that terrible name got ghry
C) understand why the person in marketing who dreamed this up still has a job?
Btw, Leemac. I am hearing rumors that Phil Holmes is getting ready to retire. Have you heard anything?

What I don't get is making an announcement about this stuff. If you were just walking around the park and happened to see it, it might seem kind of neat. Kind of like the streetmosphere characters (or whatever they currently call them) at the Studios. But to make a big announcement about it seems kind of silly.

Oh wow! Another Meet & Greet opportunity!
Who needs new rides ..... when we can be completely fine with Meet & Greets coming out of ears....
Thanks Disney ... I'll be sure to book that Sydney to Orlando flight right away!! :D

No guys, you got it all wrong. The characters are wearing Canadian like clothes!

Really, this whole Limited Time Magic thing is just an embarrassment.
They never should have said they would do this if this is the type of stuff on offer as a national marketing campaign.
And I still can't get over the show times listed as 2:10 and 3:05. As if just tacking on an extra five minutes and being closed for an hour between 2:00 and 3:00 would have put them out. Someone was only thinking of break schedules and not thinking of... you know... the customers who paid to be in the park that day.
The manager who approved publically released set times including "2:10" and "3:05" should be sent to be in charge of the laundry room at All Star Sports.

You can meet and take photos with your favorite Disney characters everyday, in every park, probably nearly every minute the park is opened. What's the big whoop about this?
I'm not one to be overly critical when it comes to decisions Disney makes, but this is pretty lame.
