I know a ideas for a Wreck-It Ralph attraction at Disneyland. Click on the Hyperlinks to see the Images.

Wreck-It Ralph: Arcade Rescue

It's like Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem, but the story is mixing Shrek 4D and The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera.

This Attraction is set between "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Wreck-It Ralph 2"

here's the plan for the Attraction:

A new 3D Motion Simulator ride that replace Captain EO, Starcade and the old Location of Star Traders.

The Captain EO seats will be removed and be replace it with a Motion Simulator seats similar to Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem.

like this:

Here's the plan of before and after:

also as the old Location of Star Traders will be close and demolish; the new location of Star Trader will be in an Extended Queue of Star Tours.

Star Tours will temporary close, for the detour of a new location of Star Trader.

In the old Facade of Star Trader. The Mickey astronaut sign will remain, and the Starcade sign will be added.

As Space Mountain old Exit will be Walled, a New Space Mountain Exit will be in the Upper of Starcade, as well as some piece of upper Starcade will be used for the Queue of Wreck-It Ralph Attraction.

The Star Tours FASTPASS Distribution will become into Wreck-It Ralph: Arcade Rescue FASTPASS Distribution.

GAME CENTRAL STATION will be the Queue; With FASTPASS, Guests will enter to SUGAR RUSH door. Without FASTPASS, Guests will watch Audio-Animatronic Surge Protector in the Information Booth. Watch Sonic in the video wall, Talking about safety of the Attraction, and enter to Fix-It Felix Jr.

Guests also recieve a Gamer Goggles (3D Glasses)

Guests enter to a Pre-Show room, Where are 3 TV Screens.

King Candy/Turbo's ghost has kidnapped Vanellope von Schweetz, and Wreck-It Ralph, Fix-It Felix, Jr. and Sergeant Calhoun with the help of Disney Parks Guests must travel to Game Central Station, Fix-It Felix, Jr. game, Hero's Duty, Sugar Rush, chase the ghost of King Candy/Turbo and rescue Vanellope.

At the end of the Attraction, Guests choose to meet n Greet with Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz or exit.

NOTE: Wreck-It Ralph: Arcade Rescue will also be located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, as part of Wreck-It Ralph Land (coming soon at

Sounds like a fun idea, and it would be nice to have something worthwhile in the Captain EO space. It sounds like this would require taking out a lot of retail space, and reconfiguring several different spots in TL, so it would probably never happen, but it's definitely fun to think about!

If you kept the theater area sloped in the same direction, and loaded guests from the 'bottom' (toward Space Mountain), you could almost get them there in a tunnel under the existing Space Mountain exit, without having to reconfigure it. You'd probably need to raise it a couple feet, but that could be done with tunnels, and would require much less vertical circulation than taking exiting guests from 17' below ground, up to the second floor above ground, and back to ground level. That would also free up all of the Starcade's former 2nd floor for additional queue space or game/retail space.

I'm surprised they didn't redo the Starcade for Wreck-it Ralph. It would have made sense.

and since you posted idea on a public forum, it means Disney can't use it.

You really can't mess with the SM exit pathway and using the existing Star Trader for queue space will never happen. Also Star Tours needs that additional queue space. So I would leave those things untouched.

I would use the upper part of the Starcade for the queue and preshow. The preshow would happen inside a HM style elevator that would take up the back half of the current Starcade. This would take guests to a tunnel that crosses into the lower half of the Captain EO theater where they would board the vehicles and watch the movie. The exit is the side doors where they typically enter now.

The front lower level of the Starcade would become an extension to Star Traders. Basically the gift shop is in the front of the ride instead of the end.

You're Genius, phruby! How about If upper part of Starcade as a Queue; Without FASTPASS will enter to Stairway, while Guests with FASTPASS will enter to an Elevator.

Then Guests enter to a Pre-Show Room. No need the Tunnels.

We don't have to expand Star Traders.

Well the unused lower part could become a small arcade again maybe something that looks like the one from the movie or a futuristic version of Flynns.

I don't think there should be any stairs anywhere. That way we don't need a special disabled persons entrance. I don't see this ride needing fastpass since we are talking about a five minute show and five minute preshow.

How About this:

The Queue will start in Starcade, Then enter to a Tunnel, entering Game Central Station, then Fix-It Felix, Jr., then Hero's Duty, then Sugar Rush, next Preshow, and now entering the Main Show Room.

Exit the ride, there will be a Wreck It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz meet n greet.

so I can't mess with the Space Mountain exit pathway. but the restroom will be moved, where the current outdoor Patio of Pizza Port is. Space Mountain Entrance will be moved.

While construction, Pizza Port will become into Pizza Planet (a restaurant from Toy Story)

What do you think of my new Queue idea, phruby?

That makes for a very long line to get to a simple 4 minute simulator-movie ride.

What if that same space was used to make a omni-mover AA ride? The ride mech could be like the old Horizons one. People would load in the Starcade. The show scenes will be in the same order you have but the buildings ringing SM would have to be fairly narrow to not eat up much space behind SM. The end would be the cars move into the EO theater for the big imax type ending similar to the Horizons choose your destination ending. After the movie, the cars would go in a tunnel out and back into the starcade for unload.

SM entrance and exit would not be effected. Pizza planet keeps its overflow seating but definitely needs to be re-themed better to match the movie version.
