So, I heard a little report this morning about a stand-alone Star Wars film (featuring Yoda). Tacked onto the story was this blurb (from the above link):

"IMAGINEERING had been working up ideas for a grand expansion at DISNEYLAND that was to bring Frank L Baum's OZ into a fully realized extension of the park, and while I'd love to go there... The word I'm hearing now is they've dropped that in lieu of a STAR WARS extension in California Adventure Park. OZ could happen, but only if Raimi's film is a stunning success."

Has anybody heard anything from other sources? Seem like a stretch to me, but who knows?

If it's in the Hollywood section of DCA -- anything goes!

I really hope that Disney will incorporate more Star Wars attractions into their themeparks, especially in the Studios Parks in Paris and Florida.

Is there enough space in the Hollywood section of DCA?

I can see short term promotion going on at the DCA for the Star Wars movies. But for a long term development there are either the Tomarrowland sub area or the 3rd park space. Those are about the only two choices.

Unfortunately, the "Oz" movie looks like all the rest of them.

CGI, green-screened noise.

But hey, based on the popularity of "Alice in Wonderland" there's a whole market for that kind of movie.
