| Doobie Thu 2/7/2013 12:57p | The place is packed in the evenings. It services locals and cast as well, but I see lots of tourists, too. You could say the same about mini golf but there are a ba-zillion mini golf places in the WDW neighborhood as well. Just fun things to do on vacation. |

| Mickeymouseclub Thu 2/7/2013 2:02p | i kinda thought the same thing recently about miniature golf at the CityWalk. It was so much fun...sorry I was too lazy to walk all the way down to Splitsville . I love the pics, looks really cool for a bowling alley. Oh well, next trip something new . |

By the way, what happened to the DTD expansion that was announced a few years ago on the official Disney Parks Blog? Did it get cancelled? |

I feel the same way about movie theaters, but the one at DisneyWorld is always packed (or used to be anyway). To each his own, I suppose. |

Yes, the Hyperion Wharf makeover got quietly cancelled when they realized that the economy wasn't going to improve in the immediate future, and they would have trouble finding tennants for all of the new stores and restaurants. I suspect they will eventually do something there (things appear to be getting a little better), but I doubt it will be as all encompassing as the previous plan. Probably just a new shop or restaurant when they have someone who is willing to build. |
