His first broom was a school broom used in flying class. It did not belong to Harry per se, but was lent to him by Madam Hooch.
The broom he first owned was given him by Professor McGonagall and was a Nimbus 2000, the then top of the line racing broom. I believe it was destroyed by the Whomping Willow at some point during his third year.
His current broom is a Firebolt, also top of the line, given him by Sirius Black. During his 5th year it was confiscated by Professor Umbridge and chained first in her office, then in the dungeon of the Castle. I don't believe its dispostion was mentioned at the end of his 5th year and so I assume it's still in the basement at Hogwarts. |
