Yes, it does look like it's a race between Eisner and Rivkin at this point. All the other bidders seem to have dropped out when they heard EM.TV's outrageous asking price.
We don't know exactly how much time Rivkin has. At first EM.TV was pushing to sell by the end of the ear, but then in October or November or so, the announcement came that no sale would take place till at least 2002. Now it looks like they're anxious to have the Muppets off their hands by spring. |

Even in MuppetVision 3D, (and yes, I know, the movie is pushing 12 years old) but the jokes are very much in line with The Muppet Show -- which went back to the late 70's as I recall.
Perhaps with Disney, they'll freshen them up a bit....
Does anyone else see this staleness? |

Maybe if disney Purchases them they can bring the show back. i heard it was really expensive to operate but it was viewed by people all over the country. This is the kind of show ABC needs. If it is a sucess they can even change the shows in all the themeparks. Wouldn't it be cool if they randomized them so it was like a different episode everytime you rode it. |

Unfourtanly EM.TV the current owner of the Jim Henson who will sell them by this year, sold Henson rights 50% rights of the Seasame Street Charaters to The Childeren Television Workship last year. They are now called Seasame Workship. |
