| Doobie Fri 12/28/2001 2:09p | As always, a great list, Kirby. I do have one disappointment though. Where's Spy Kids? It's the best family live action film I've seen in a while. While I didn't see Princess Diaries, I think Spy Kids - based on its originality alone - should've pushed its way onto the top 10 even if it pushed Princess Diaries off.

Maybe since it was from Miramax with little to no "Disney" involvement...it didn't qualify.
It is obvious that Disney hit a major home run with the Walt Disney Treasures DVD box sets. I look forward to many more in the years to come.
I predict now a top 3 finish on the 2002 list for Lilo and Stitch! |

| ToonKirby Fri 12/28/2001 5:03p | "Spy Kids" would have been #11. |

| Doobie Fri 12/28/2001 5:40p | That's why everything should go to 11.
It was a great list, though. I was very pleased to see Davy Crockett score so high for you.

| CuriosWolfSo Fri 12/28/2001 11:14p | Like you, I'm also hoping they will finally release 'Song of the South' as part of Walt Disney Treasures DVD box set. Double for 'Mickey Mouse: The B&W Years' and 'Disney: The WWII Era' |

| KanakiKid Fri 12/28/2001 11:55p | I agree with ToonKirby's list of films. I may quibble about the order, however.
The disquieting issue is that so many of the films issued were actually done decades or generations ago, while much of Disney's current efforts can't compare.
Sad for the Disney Co., but a wonderful tribute for the company's namesake. |

| ToonKirby Sat 12/29/2001 6:50p | And "Atlantis" probably would have been #12 ... |

Princess Diaries may have not been "original" to the same extent as Spy Kids, but it was a much better film to me. Both Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway have great screen charisma and the film is filled with great humor. Sometimes it's not important to reinvent the wheel. |

| MouseEars Thu 1/3/2002 11:42a | Pretty good list. I don't think Atlantis belongs at 12, or anywhere in the top 15. There is one thing that was missing, I don't know if you saw it or not, but Touchstone Pictures' The Royal Tenenbaums. It was the most clever film, with a stellar cast, and a killer soundtrack! Way to go Disney on this one!
