Shame about the USS Cygnus... while "The Black Hole" was pretty lousy, that was one awesome ship. And an incredibly detailed model. ::sigh:: |

I am one thousand times over joyed that Lass' is working on this project. He seems to know where to put the little details and touches.
Now some small questions:
Are their going to be maxium hight restrictions? Sorry to sound like a kid again, but these little rides sound fun.
Did they show concept artwork at the show?
More a statement, is it safe to say to say this area is more along the line of Mermaid Lagoon at TDS than (no long bashing rant this time) Dino-Rama?
Can't wait to see 'Bugs' surface....

| woody Fri 1/11/2002 3:47p | It sounds like good news about the Bug's Land, but what is it called officially?
GOOD NEWS 1. More rides for younger kids. 2. Fantasy based, rather than realism. 3. More marketable than the other attractions.
BAD NEWS 1. It's too bad it wasn't designed for adults (my assumption). 2. The slow loading cycle rides duplicate the Paradise Pier rides on a kiddie level. 3. Nothing about California (which is good news too).
Aren't they concerned about the lack of high capacity rides in DCA? I suppose TOT is supposed to fill the gap, but it's two years away. |

| jmuboy Fri 1/11/2002 3:56p | Hmmmm, this all sounds interesting. But some questions are raised:
Will the tea cups be the same style as at DL?
Also, with the mini train be like Casey Jr., which is small but still for the whole family (adults included) or more like the mini mall trains across America?
Are the bumper cars adult sized like at all other theme parks?
Finally, what the heck is the name of this mini land? And yes, will it be enclosed and well themed like Mermaid Lagoon or cheap and garish like Dino-Rama.
Thanks FAB for the Great Update! |

I think they should add at least one dark ride in Bug's Land. It should be similar to Roger Rabbit. It's just too bad this land is not designed for people of all ages. |

Woody, I just wanted to compliment you on your balanced post. You seem to have weighed the pros and cons considerately, and that makes for an enriching discussion.
This area is aimed toward smaller kids; I doubt that grownups will be turned away from anything.
Realism can be fun; look at the Disneyland Railroad or the Mark Twain!
