On the one hand, this might be pretty easy for some, but on the other hand, I don't want to assume that, so I will give two clues to help narrow it down: 1) The line is from a Disney feature. 2) Even if you were to check every Disney VHS or DVD you own currently, you would not find the line.

| toon-fan Mon 5/6/2002 2:18p | Does that mean, basil fan, that you own every Disney video that has been released?
I don't know if I should be impressed or worried!

| Dznygrl Mon 5/6/2002 9:35p | I think I know. Is it Beast talking to Belle in the newly animated sequence of Beauty and the Beast? |

| toon-fan Tue 5/7/2002 9:05a | Dznygrl - you got it right. During "Human Again," there is the scene where Belle is reading to Beast. When he tries to read and has difficulty, she asks if he can read. That is his response.
The hint indicating the line could not be found on a VHS or DVD meant that either it was from an older film that had never been released or it was from a film too new to have been released for the home market yet.
Speaking of "Beauty and the Beast," one question I've always had is: Gaston wants to marry the prettiest girl in town. Well, from the opening number, it's plain that everyone thinks Belle is a bit odd, so why doesn't he go for one of the bimbettes instead? If looks are all that matters, I think they rate quite high. (Or is it the challenge of the hunt and conquest?)
Anyway, take it, Dznygrl . . .
