One movie came out before the PeeWee persona was developed (you can see it in its early stages). The other movie came out after he was appearing as PeeWee (I remember seeing him on David Letterman); this movie came out around the time of PeeWee's Big Adventure as well as PeeWee's Playhouse.

| Wendybird Fri 4/12/2002 9:53a | Utahjosh-- you are right-- you beat me to it! Isn't he also the voice of Rex on Star Tours? Does that count as a movie? |

| toon-fan Fri 4/12/2002 11:49a | utahjosh, you got half the question right. He was the voice of the ship (at least after scanning David's brain and picking up some silly human traits).
Wendybird, I don't know if he does Rex's voice, but Star Tours opened after both PeeWee's first movie and his Saturday morning TV show, so I can't give you credit for that. Sorry . . .
So half the question (and I think the tougher half) is still unanswered. |

| MrNiceGuy Fri 4/12/2002 3:34p | He was in the movie Midnight Madness! I JUST rented this movie and saw him in it and now it comes in handy! WOO-HOO! |

| toon-fan Fri 4/12/2002 4:33p | MrNiceGuy pegged it. In Midnight Madness (1980), he works at an arcade. It's been years since I've seen it, though - doesn't he have to dress like a cowboy, since that is the motif of the arcade?
It was apparently his movie debut, although that same year he was in The Blues Brothers and Cheech and Chong's Next Movie as well. Two other actors who made their movie debuts in Midnight Madness were David Naughton (An American Werewolf in London) and Michael J. Fox!
And actually, Wendybird, I did some research and found that PeeWee in fact did provide the voice for Rex. Thanks for teaching me something. |

One time I was watching PeeWee's Big Adventure on TV with my kids. One son, who must have been about 9 at the time, broke me up when he joked, "So, is his first name Pee and his middle name Wee?"

| toon-fan Sat 4/13/2002 7:45a | Ooh, I don't know. Actually, from what I've seen on some of these games, a person might not be able to check back in for a day or so. So I will say whichever of you gets back here first with a question is the one who goes. |
