| toon-fan Sun 9/7/2003 6:16a | After Mowgli runs off on his own, Bagheera approaches the elephant patrol for help in finding him. Initially, Colonel Hathi can't be bothered, but when his son says that he and Mowgli were friends, Hathi seems to soften and then says the line.
The reply was said by his wife, Winifred, mumbling under her breath.
"Hunny-bunny, let's go home and play."

| toon-fan Tue 9/9/2003 2:56a | "Because you're dead, Pinocchio."
After Pinoke drowned while rescuing Geppetto from Monstro, Geppetto laid him out on his bed and was mourning him. Along comes the Blue Fairy who revives Pinocchio, after which is the exchange noted.
(BTW, why would Pinocchio drown by laying face down in six inches of water when, while searching for Monstro, he did just find underwater? Or did he die for some other reason?) |

"...and for Pinocchio's death....I think the force of the wave, created by Monstro when he tried to attack Pinocchio but hits the rocks hard instead, was powerful to knock Pinocchio to the sides of the rocks so hard that it killed him...now please don't ask me why the same thing didn't killed Geppetto who was right by Pinocchio when it happened!" |

Actually, I did know that...I read the book when the movie first came out.
Basilfan....Awesome! It may be the wrong movie, but it made me laugh!
I don't know the real reply either....but if it were me, I'd say, "I don't know....CAN you?!" |
