He did at WDW. As you entered the Space Mountain entrance, he sat in a Flying Saucer suspended from the ceiling. (This would be circa 1983.) You circled him in the ramp that led down to the space tunnel. Also, an outlined rendering of him in the classic image listening to the Grammaphone was painted on the mirrors that used to line the far wall of this room at the entrance.
