| TrumpetCarl Thu 7/1/2004 1:35p | Well, the words can sort of be found in America Sings, but you need to do some creative editing:
Oh I wish I was in the land of cotton, *old times there are not forgotten*. Look away, look away, look away Dixieland.
(another song)
The sun shines bright on my old Kentucky home. *'Tis summer*, the old folks are gay - It's the good life. The corn tips ripe *and the meadows in the bloom*. And the birds make music all the day.
Or were you thinking of a different attraction? |

| CuriosWolfSo Fri 7/2/2004 3:59a | No, you're right. It's America Sings, alright but I got the words from the pages of my "America Sings" record book.
Your turn, TrumpetCarl!

| TrumpetCarl Sat 7/3/2004 11:32a | It would appear that Disney did the creative editing for you. I have the "America Sings" record book too (the record broke decades ago, but I have saved the album sleeve which is celebrating it's 30th birthday this year), so I looked to see where you got the quote from, and right there on page one is the quote you used. It is funny that they printed it in quotes when it is not actually used in the attraction.
One of my favorite quotes may not be a part of the standard spiel of the ride, or may be used very infrequently:
"Through there is Never-Never Land. We call it that because we never-never take you there."
And no, it is not from the Jungle Boat Cruise. |
