Yes it's a terrible film, despite the presence of the lovely lovely lovely Halle Berry. |

1960's sexual farce at it's strangest in my opinion. But I've always loved the Tom Jones song. |

| CanadianMinnieMouse Mon 8/4/2003 3:44p | I JUST got back from seeing Pirates of the Carribbean for the FIRST time. I thought it was amazingly good, and I had a hard time believing it was a Disney movie. Plus, staring at Orlando and Johnny for 2 1/2 hours wasn't too hard either ;) |

no interest in seeing it... everyone i know that has seen it said it was good, but that it wasn't so much for the acting (as in she didn't deserve the oscar) as for her being naked which doesn't really interest me... whatever.
JUST SAW POTC AND LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL SEE THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN IN THE THEATER AND WILL SHORTLY BE LEAVING MY JOB TO BE A PIRATE!!! anyone want to join me... i've been wanting dredlocks since i cut my last ones off, but after seeing johnny depp's i don't think i can wait for my hair to grow out. i'm thinking about throwing a pirate bonfire after seeing the rum island scene... i want to dress up like a pirate, drink, and run around a bonfire!!! maybe this weekend. :) |

| cheezman20 Tue 8/5/2003 2:00a | oh... i also had a dvd marathon this past weekend
Spun - a little more accurate than is enjoyable... ahem. Well made, but was basically like hanging out with my high school friends.
Spider (david cronenberg) - amazing, like all of his movies... the guy has a talent for making movies that make you think you're insane.
Dead or Alive - Takashi Miike. part one of a series. this is the first movie of his that i've seen. wow. the tagline said "will toilet-snake your soul" I'd have to agree. Can't wait to see part 2.
Punch Drunk Love - I really love this movie so deeply that I will not date anyone who doesn't understand it. I can't be with anyone who doesn't understand the beauty of "I have a love in my life. It makes me stronger than anything you can imagine." or "You are so beautiful. I love you so much I want to smash your face in with a sledgehammer." Luckily Keli understands :)
Final Destination 2 - Finally I got to watch a legal copy that doesn't go black and white during the death scenes... great splatterflick... great directing (from the guy who directed the Matrix 2 freeway chase) and crappy actors. what more can you ask for? ;)

We went because it was showing at a drive-in, the kid's 1st-ever time to one, first for me in the modern era. It's our 3rd time for Nemo, so that part was not so fresh, but what can you do! |
