Vanilla Sky was co-produced by Tom Cruise. Ergo, it's about: Tom Cruise starts out a jerk, learns a lesson, and ends up worthy of our adoration.

I hear ya! We regularly frequented a Regal Cinema, but after catching "The Twenty" for the first time, we decided we're taking our money elsewhere! (But not before making sure we told Regal corporate how much we disliked the new practice!) |

I think the original Spanish film ("Open Your Eyes") was far better.

On one hand, I liked how Spielberg expanded upon Philip K. Dick's original story, but I know that some people feel that the loss of certain motifs made it less faithful to the original idea. |

Since Spike Jonze was involved with this film, I should have expected it to be, well, far out at points. I've decided his movies really aren't my thing. It was also rather bizarre to see the liberties taken with Susan Orlean and _The Orchid Thief_. (I really loved the book, but the movie could have been about *anyone's* book, with the way the film was soooo loosely based on it.) |
