Really good movie with a strong message about the difference between earning something and having it given to you. Kevin Kline was excellent as always.
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three DVD Rental Still no snacks
Still a great 70s action movie about 4 crooks who hijack a NY subway train. Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw and Martin Balsam star. My daughter didn't believe me that the meanest of the bad guys was the same guy who was so suave and sweet in The Princess Diaries. |

Scenes of birds migrating past the Eiffel Tower, World Trade Center, Grand Canyon, Great Wall, and many other locations. Filmed on all 7 continents.
It looks as though the camera is right on the wingtip of these birds in flight. I didn't think it was possible to get a camera in such a position and was almost convinced the birds were computer-generated. :)
They tell you how they did it at www.wingedmigration.com.
I'm glad there's people still around who are interested in making and financing these ‘true life adventures.'
[Saw the trailer for the new Hugh Grant/Emma Thompson film, "Love Actually" that comes out at Christmas. It looks like a LOT OF FUN!!]

When I was a kid, the "Topper" TV show used to rerun in the early mornings, & I liked to get up & watch. Even read a few Thorne Smith books, he was a very funny writer. Between these two movies, "Topper Returns" was the best, with laugh-out-loud funny performances by Joan Blondell & Eddie (Rochester) Anderson. Lots of fun. |

I didn't know much about this movie going in but I loved it! Quite a bit of blood and I looked away during some scenes but I loved the acting and the humor amongst the splatter. DD16 and DH both loved it too. |
