I just discovered Lee Child and am currently reading "Killing Floor." I have just finished an ARC of a book that will be out in January. It's titled "At Risk" and it's a thriller written by the former head of Britain's MI5. Really good!

| FaMulan Tue 11/30/2004 7:35p | I've read all of Anne Rice's books, even her adult-oriented stuff.
I couldn't remember if I'd read "Blood Canticle" or not, but I have, it's just been a year since I've read it. (I prefer hardcover books) |

Except for The Mummy since that was never in hard cover. Oh, and I need to re-read Blood Canticle - that was a great book from what I recall, but I was quite a bit younger first time around - would like to get it fresh in my mind. |

You talkin' about her three part version of "Sleeping Beauty"?
I had no idea what it was about when I bought them. Snuggled up in bed one night. Picked up the first book. Wowza! |

I like the Mayfair books too. And yes, I think Tale of the Body Thief was very good, then she kind of lost me on some of them. Can't beat the first three though in my opinion. |

Also Belinda and Exit to Eden (which is soooo far from the movie it's amazing).
"I had no idea what it was about when I bought them. Snuggled up in bed one night. Picked up the first book. Wowza!"
Yeah, she just kind of jumped right in, eh?

Well, Belinda is about, well, an adult male and a young girl.
The Sleeping Beauty books and Exit to Eden -let's just say you have to be ok with reading about some very out-there situations... much bondage and sadism & masochism.
IOW, stay away from her adult books unless you have an open mind.
"Can't beat the first three" Ditto! After I read them, at least 3 or friends of mine got birhtday gifts of those three books. |
