"A Christmas Carol" -Charles Dickens.

I've never read this before, I've only seen various film and TV versions.

How is it, FaMulan? I have thought of reading Dickens but have not yet.

So far it's pretty good. I'm at the part where he's just about to leave with the Ghost of Christmas Past.

Dickens doesn't seem to go off on barely-related tangents like a lot of other Victorian writers did. I cannot for the life of me read Nathanial Hawthorne, I tried to once, but it seemed every word of a sentence on topic would send him off on a non-related tangent.

I am reading "How I Paid for College" by Marc Acito. Now to be honest I never in a million years would have ever thought about purchasing this book. But goodgirl sent it to me, so i gave it a shot and its one of the best books I have ever read. If you were a kid of the 80's, or a "Play person" or someone who loves to laugh then you will love this book. It is a coming of age story with a twist. I cannot say enough about this book. I recieved it yesterday and I am 3/4 done already. Its cutting into my sleep but its worth it.

I'm really excited about starting the new Laurell K. Hamilton book "Incubus Dreams." Anyone who likes vampire books would love this series.

I've also read her "fairie" series and liked it; but it seems to lack the humor that the Anita Blake Vamire Hunter series has.

I'm *trying* to finish Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I don't know why I can't! I've started reading it about 4 times from the beginning now ug!!!!

Are there any books that you guys would reccomend for an 18 year old girl to read? I adore love stories, fantasy and suspense. Thanks for your suggestions!

NAPC, Emily Carmichael has a series about a woman who is reincarnated as a Welsh Corgi. They are funny, romantic and include fantasy. The first one is "Finding Mr. Right." There are two more...all in paperback.
