Awright, it's not really "reading a book." Especially since I'm skipping the whole second (and largest) section. Part One on the history of the Mansions in all the Parks was wonderful. Part Three about the making of the movie was quite interesting. Part Two is a detailed examination of each room of the Park Mansions. I don't want to "memorize" the Mansion, so am avoiding that. |

| luvdamaagic Tue 4/13/2004 11:20a | I would be curious as to what people think the best Disney biography is. I have read several Walt Disney biographies in my local library including a revealing one and comical one by a former Animator and Mickey Mouse Club member ( can't remember his name) and a terrible one in which the "frozen head myth" was perpetuated. Lately I bought Steven Watts book "The Magic Kingdom", and although informative and enjoyable, it was too much of a social study for my taste. |

Really enjoying this book. |

I have stalled though. It is 900 pages and I am half-way through and it has sort of become tedious. However, now I am curious to know what happens to the main character, so I go forth. I have the DaVinci Code beckoning to me. My daughter read it and she gave it to me to read. So it sits near my nightstand and I am looking forward to picking it up. I have a thing about not reading two books at once, I have no idea why. |

| NikkiLOVESMickey Wed 4/14/2004 9:20a | Kimmy Kay, I loved Crimson Petal and the White. I'm usually a pretty fast reader, but that one took me a few weeks. It can get tedious, which is why I only read a chapter or two a day. It's what I call a "thinking" book - it's not a light read. |

| Kimmy Kay Wed 4/14/2004 9:28a | Nikki - VERY true on it not being a light read. The tedious part for me is when the book turns to William's Brother and his unrequited love for Mrs. Fox. I don't know why, but I am just not interested in those two characters. They don't draw me in and I really don't care what happens to them. I do like the book though, otherwise I would have put it down 250 pages ago. |

It was especially fortuitous that you informed me the book was sold in mainstream stores just as Borders extended me a 25% "educators' discount" for the weekend. Thank you, Byron! |
