I picked it up again after watching Troy. I could not beleive the adaptation! there were so many things missing, that I just had to read the book again. Don't get me wrong, the movie on its own was fascinating, (how could anything with Orlando Bloom in it not be : )YUM!) but compared to the Epic, fell wayyy short, so i felt it time to revisit. |

Suzie...I avoided the Mitford series for a long time because I thought it would be too "syrupy" for me. I like thrillers and scary stuff. So I was very surprised at how much I liked them. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

| MissCandice Sun 3/6/2005 1:19p | Um, let me clear up my last post. I am re-reading Gorky Park for myself, because I have the new Martin Cruz Smith book and wanted to read the others in the series before I read the new one.
I am reading Mansfield Park for the book club. I am thrilled because it is one of 2 J. Austen books that I have not read yet.
Carry on! |

And I did get your meaning, I just willfully misinterpret everything. |

I just finished Moby Dick about two hours ago, and I need to get back to Fast Food Nation. Next week, during my spring break, I will start reading DisneyWar. I'm excited about Eisner bashing. One of the world's best hobbies, IMO. |
