| Kennesaw Tom Sat 3/25/2006 12:53p | With all this discussion about loosing the 20K ride I have decided to read Jules Verne's 20 thousand leagues Under the Sea. So far a great short read. |

| piperlynne Mon 3/27/2006 8:51a | Song for Susannah - Dark Tower Series - Stephen King.
I started these books years ago, read the first two about 17 years ago. Read the 3rd last year, and picked up the 4th about a month ago. Had to make a trip to B&N to get this one. It's addicting. (Part of me wishes I had started all over again though - some of it has gotten a little lost in my head over the years).
I really like Stephen King especially when he does things like The Stand, Green Mile and these books. |

I get compulsive about finishing books I start, but I'm not sure I'm going to make it through this one. The basic premise is that unstructured outdoor play is healthy for children. I'm okay with that, but do we really need a whole chapter on the beneficial effects of building treehouses?

How are you liking it? I enjoyed it, though "The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove" is still my favorite. Moore's touring right now; I get to see him at a reading/signing next week. I'm told he puts on a good show. |

| Tinkerbell819 Wed 3/29/2006 10:56a | I just finished "Marley and Me" and I loved it! The author is a columnist for my "local" paper, the Inquirer, so it took 3 months on the waiting list at the library to get it! (now I am sharing it with friends and relatives until the 3 weeks are up!) I started "The Raising of a President" by Doug Wead. (I think that's the right spelling of the author's name.) I'm not getting through it at fast as "Marley and Me", but I'm learning a lot of interesting things! |

I like it a lot, although it is not "tears running down my face from laughing" as was "Lamb" My personal favorite was "Bloodsucking Fiends."
I was fortunate enough to meet Moore at two Independent Booksellers conventions. He is great in person.
