"The Other Boleyn Girl". I know, I'm the last one to read it. I was just really turned off that author after I read her Wideacre trilogy, but this is much better. And I don't know why I read that whole trilogy either - it was like watching some horrible train wreck that wouldn't stop. Fascinating and gruesome. NOT recommended! |

| DAR Sat 11/11/2006 8:31p | I'm still reading the Walt Disney bio. But on Jeopardy, Sam Waterston was on and me, my dad and sister were trying to think of his character in the Great Gatsby. So I'm reading Gatsby too. |

| mele Mon 11/13/2006 2:49p | Well, I thought I'd finally read 'The Da Vinci Code' now that it's coming out on dvd. (I'm way behind the times, obviously. LOL)
I thought it was poorly written. Ignoring all of the controversy surrounding it...it's just not that good. I figured out the plot pretty early on. I can't believe that anyone would think this book was the truth or that it would cause people to doubt their faith in Christ.
I think the only reason I continued reading the book was to find out what Sophie witnessed her grandfather doing that had caused her to shut him out of her life for 10 years. What a let down *that* revelation was. :-( |

At least you have the LOTR movies done very well (if they satisifed your taste)...meanwhile I'll have to begrudgingly go to the theater to see "Prince Caspian" like an almost-sure train wreck, and then perhaps 5 more films after that...*sigh*... |
