| FiveBearRugs Wed 5/26/2004 11:02p | Well, the other day I received my newest item from eBay: the complete set of the DLP Happy Meal set from the European McDs. It focuses on the Fantillusion parade and comes with parade floats of The Evil Queen, Ursula, Jafar, Maleficent and those two little rodents.
Anyway, some of them pop out, some light up and some have secret compartments.
MICKEY: Pops out of his compartment, and causes a star to 'fly' down to the base, he also lights up.
MINNIE: Pops out of the castle
URSULA: Pops out of a whirlpool
MALEFICENT: Removable figure, her 'fire pit' lights up. Press button to reveal a hidden RED dragon.
JAFAR: Removable figure; He's standing on a pile of treasure; Press button and a cobra pops out (with light-up eyes)
EVIL QUEEN: This one is interesting; Queen is a removable figure and stands in front of her Mirror (which you can "summon) by pressing a lever). If you pull her float back and let it go (like a Hot Wheel), the Witch's face and hand (holding the apple) pop up.
The floats can be hooked up to create a long train.
I usually saw these on eBay for $9, and I had no intention of buying them. The one I won, however, was only for $5 and it was still mint in package so I said, 'eh, why not?' |

| FiveBearRugs Wed 5/26/2004 11:11p | You know, I've almost finished my COE (Collection of Evil). I've just about accomplished my goal of collecting at least one item of the Villains from each of the films! Woohoo! Those Disney Treasures cards helped, since they've included Edgar, Ronno, Sykes, Willie and The Wolf.
So I now need something of Amos Slade, Percival McLeach, The Jack-in-the-Box, The Firebird, Alameda Slim, Julius ('Runaway Brain'), Randall, Waternoose and maybe the Matriarch elephant (since I have the Villains Revenge game and that takes care of Ringmaster).
I do have a personalized F&H&Me book that my babysitter got for me, but Slade is a nice guy in that, since my friend and I are 'visiting' his farm. Up until I saw F&H a few years ago, I didn't know that Slade was a baddie.
I'll need to buy another box of Disney Treasures series II so I can get duplicates of Slade, Edgar and Ronno for display. Funny, the other day when I bought them, everyone on the checklist was accounted for, and you're bound to get duplicates in the box. I kept saying 'I need Belle, Max Hare, Eilonwy and Ronno' over and over again... and sure enough there was only ONE pack that had all of them in it!
Had I the money, I'd get myself some of those awesome WDCC statues... |
