Don't we all remember how we were bracing for GIANT capacity crowds for DCA? And then how we were all so surprised when hardly anyone showed up to DCA that first weekend that had sunny and mild weather? It's just funny to look back and remember how shocking and surprising it was to everyone, Disney included, that DCA wasn't crowded when it opened.
Remember 7 Million guests in the first year?
Funny stuff! Thanks for keeping the thread alive Futurist. Let's remember it for February 8, 2003, in just two more months. |

I think it's worth mentioning AladdinAZ's latest name, which is ironically true, while coming across as a durogatory "make fun of" name ... but it's actually quite an omen:
I said myself, right from the beginning, and it was meant as a benign statement, that this park is:
A little bit DISNEY
A little bit UNIVERSAL Studios
A little bit S.F. Magic MOUNTAIN
and A little Knott's BERRY farm
Disney's Univeral Mountain Berry park
D.U.M.B.
Even DCA supporters got to think that one is pretty hilarious. :-) |
