That was for the waiting queue...but I'm thinking of what was actually the premise of the attraction...what it was meant to be and all that.

It was meant to be a walk-thru haunted house experience, but, that was only for the Disneyland version. WDW's was always intended to be a ride-thru copy of the one that eventually opened at Disneyland.

This attraction's exterior animatronic 'barker' was recently retired last summer.

Yes, you are correct. The animatronic parrot 'barker bird' that was located on the entrance building was sadly removed during last year's movie makeover with Capt. Jack Sparrow and company.

bring back the parrot! Don't THEY even notice the tie-in to the Pirate and Parrot restaurant across the way??


As told to us by a cashier cast member there, this non-park attraction cost three million dollars to build.
