2	FigmentMI Fri 7/15/2005 11:46p	Thanks so much for choosing my topic! As a video game programmer I've seen my fair share of projects die on the vine, some good and some bad. And what Bob says about projects being "committeed" to death is right on the money. There's a certain "vibe" to any project - either people are generally excited to work on it or they're just marking time until it (hopefully) is relegated to the dust bin of history. Especially surprising to me in Bob's list is the number of non-Monorail Monorail designs that were kicked around. Each one obviously "misses" the essential essence of a Monorail. No wonder (and thank goodness!) none of them went anywhere. Thanks again to Bob Gurr for writing about his work, and to Laughing Place for bringing his columns to us every month. Keep 'em coming!
